The 5th day of Recycle Up! Summer camp in Accra started on a publicity note as we were granted a radio interview in the university’s radio station Radio universe. It was attended by Abdulrahim Shaibu-Issah, and Katrin as well as a JJ, a participant.
The first session was a lecture on volunteering by Mr. Nana Kojo Owusu, the Country Director for Lattitude Global Volunteering. He explained the need for volunteering as well as the impact of it.
The next session was on Team work and Team work management. Here, participants were educated on the effective ways to hold team meetings and ways to handle problems involved with group work. After various practice, everyone left for lunch.
The final session was a nature trip to the University of Ghana Botanical Gardens. There, the participants were allowed to give a summary of their adventure the previous day and what they learnt from that. The rest of the session was devoted to enjoying nature and building their ideas. At exactly six pm, everyone retired for supper.
