A look into the Schedule
In the morning the participants performed last preparations on their presentations. After lunch the whole team of RUG Cape Coast went to the department of Civil Engineering for the Grand Finale. People present were the invited guests, parents of the participants and reporters from the press, radio and television. The program was moderated by Sharifa Yeboah. DelaIi Deku, a team leader, gave the welcoming speech. The patron of TeoG Regional Group (RG) Cape Coast, Dr. Samuel Essien-Baidoo, introduced the topic for the Grand Finale. Rachel Hormeku, the president of TeoG RG Cape Coast, introduced TeoG to the people present and Ioana Jivet gave a brief description of Recycle Up! Ghana.
The Competition
The competition was intense due to the wonderful presentations done by the participants. The audience appreciated the presentations performed by the new Ambassadors of RUG Cape Coast. The judges announced The SNABBAC Tigers (you can find more information about the groups in our blog post of Day 8) mentored by Cornelius Osei Marfo. The program came to an end after the chairman’s fare well speech and the closing prayer. The audience was well educated on how to provide local solutions for the local waste problems in Ghana. Certificates were presented to the Participants, as well as Mentors and Camp Support.
