My name is Ioana, I am 26 years old and I am a Team Leader of Recycle Up! Ghana 2015 for the camp in Cape Coast.
When I am not Recycling Up! Ghana, I am finishing my Master studies in Computer Science at TUDelft, the Netherlands or travelling around Europe, delivering soft-skill training sessions to technology students, as member of a European student association.
This is how I also got to know about Recycle Up!, through one of TeoG’s members. Even though I don’t have a background in plastic waste management, what made me extremely interested and excited in this project is the social aspect: empowering the youth with skills and tools that will help them develop and realize their future ideas even after the summer camp is over.
What I like most about Recycle Up! Ghana is that the camp targets young students that have a lot of potential to shape their community. The program gives them not only technical knowledge, but also sparks their creative minds and proactivity into finding solutions. One you believe you can find a solution, it’s just a matter of time until you will!
Together, we can share our knowledge and experience, take advantage of the diversity in our backgrounds and cultures to find sustainable solutions for day-to-day problems.
Let’s Recycle Up! Ghana!
