Tobi

My Name is Tobi, I am 25 years old and I am a Team Leader of “Recycle Up! Ghana 2015” for the summer camp in Cape Coast.

When I am not Recycling Up! Ghana, I am living in Erlangen, Germany. Here, I currently finish my studies in Power Engineering and write a master thesis about Balancing Markets in Electrical Power Systems.

I heard of Recycle Up! because I’ve been involved in projects of Technology without borders (TeoG) since 2011. Project work in hospital waste management and waste incineration gave me the opportunity to travel to Ghana already twice. I’m looking forward to the third journey for the RecycleUp! Summer Camp 2015! 🙂

What I like about Recycle Up! Ghana is that it approaches the challenges in waste management with an educational approach, giving young people the opportunity to learn about recycling and develop as persons at the same time. From my personal experience in TeoG and another European student organization, I know that such kind of training events can have a huge impact – therefore I strongly believe that…

…together, we will be able to make a change and develop more than 40 skilled and motivated Ghanaian “RecycleUp! Ambassadors”. Looking forward to make this happening together with all of you!

Let’s Recycle Up! Ghana!
