The project commenced with the recruitment of entrepreneurs with a business in the focus areas of the project; Recycling, Smart Agriculture, Water and Sanitation and Renewable energy. During this exercise, the Recycle Up! Ghana team liaised with the municipal assemblies and the Business Advisory Centers in the Greater Kumasi Metropolis through the department of Agriculture, Waste and Sanitation and business registration department to register businesses

Businesses were reviewed and the qualified businesses were interviewed. The interview was done in collaboration with Kumasi Hive, Recycle Up Ghana and SNV.
A due diligence exercise followed up the interview session. During this exercise, the selected businesses after the interview were visited at their workspace.
After the recruitment process, the GrEEn Project was officially launched to introduce the project to the Recycle Up! Ghana community. During this event, the SNV team were invited to extensively explain the GrEEn project to the community. The selected entrepreneurs for cohort 1 of the GrEEn project were introduced in terms of their personality as well as their businesses.
Following the Hub launch was an orientation for the selected entrepreneurs for Recycle Up! Ghana. This was to officially introduce the entrepreneurs to our Hub as well as the GrEEn Incubation programme; what they should expect, duration of the programme and what is required of them.
The training sessions under the GrEEn Incubation programme with the first episode on Introduction to Circular Economy and OKRs setting. During this session, the entrepreneurs were introduced to the circular economy and how their business affects or relates to the circular economy. After, they were trained on settingOKR’s for their respective businesses. They were assisted through this exercise.
